About

Black Girls Can Incorporated

A 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, Black Girls Can Incorporated fosters the next generation of Black girl talent by offering free, hands-on programming centered in STEAM, civic engagement, entrepreneurship, and wellness.

Since 2016, we’ve designed our programming to inspire, motivate, and equip civically engaged Black women and girls that are leading, innovating, and serving in their respective communities.

OUR WORK

We believe in helping Black girls build confidence and integrity while simultaneously unlocking the magic that lives within.

As a member of Black Girls Can Incorporated, we invite girls and young women ages 13-24 and up with leadership potential to embark on an immersive hands-on curriculum which offers workshops, simulations, lectures, field trips and so much more led by industry thought leaders and tastemakers in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Entertainment, Entrepreneurship, Beauty, and Wellness.

From this program, girls will establish a further sense of self-worth, become a more well-rounded student, gain a stronger sense of self-esteem, increase their curiosity for STEAM education and consider entrepreneurship in the near future. This program will not only make a difference in the students’ lives but enhance the classroom discussion and build leaders of tomorrow.

Recognizing that we cannot do this work alone, we’ve partnered with notable brands and organizations including Microsoft, iHeart Media, Meta, NARS Cosmetics, Shiseido, and more, to help over 7,000 Black girls establish self-worth, enhance their classroom experiences to become a more well-rounded student, and increase their curiosity for building a brighter future.

We’re committed to reaching 50,000 Black girls by 2025, and 1 million by 2030.

Joining Black Girls Can Inc. exposed me to entrepreneurship workshops that gave me the confidence to start my own Hair Braiding & Styling business. I’m so fortunate for this program.
